Warranty with Prairie
We're proud to stand behind our products with a one-year warranty. This commitment reflects our confidence in quality and durability, ensuring peace of mind with every purchase.
1 year warranty
On the morning of closing day buyers and their realtors will participate in a homeowner orientation and walk-thru of the home. During homeowner orientation, which will take place at the finished home, our superintendent will explain everything that is in the homeowner book.
Our homeowner book contains an abundance of information. There is a utility transfer sheet, emergency contacts for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, etc. Also found in the book are warranty cards and instruction manuals for appliances and care instructions for counters, sprinkler system, concrete, and much more. We also provide a full set of construction plans and site plan for the home.
Once buyers have been introduced to the homeowner book, during the walk-thru they will get the chance to point out any imperfections that may have been missed by our team. These imperfections are recorded and taken care of by our warranty manager.
Any other problems that may arise after the initial orientation we ask that buyers keep a record so our warranty manager can address them at a 45-day review and then again during an 11-month review. Emergency calls (such as, damaging leaks, no heat or air conditioning, etc) can be made at any time to subcontractors but we ask buyers to inform the warranty manager if any service calls are made so they can follow up.
If you have any questions about the structure of your new home feel free to get in touch with our warranty staff! (402)-476-6599 ext.110
Reference Guidelines
Before the walk-thru buyers will receive a copy of
Residential Construction Performance Guidelines Consumer Reference, a warranty guideline book created by the National Association of Home Builders. NAHB refers to it as " the most widely-used reference guide in the home building and remodeling industry for the performance of homes during the warranty period". This book will help new home owners understand the basics of how a accurately built home should preform as time moves on. It can also help resolve and questions or concerns homeowners may have.
The following are just a few topics covered in RCPG:
- Exterior Doors
- Insulation
- Structural Columns
- Site Work
